Image flickering on rotation start (IE8)

Hi guys,

Many thanks for such a useful plugin when it comes to earlier IE versions.. but i;ve come across an issue which i can't seem to overcome.
Whenever using this plugin in IE8 on a page - lets say with a banner, with a spinning image. When that page loads, all seems ok, until the javascript initializes... then there is a slight flicker in the image which results in the image going blank with a border for a moment, then returning.

The whole thing is only noticable when there is a fair few things on the page or a slow connection.. which makes me think that when the rotation starts, the image is re-requested for some reason??

I'm not sure, i;ve wracked my brains for too long on this so  thought i'd post it up to ask anyone else who's using the plugin. ANY help is appreciated haha!
