Read current view

Hi,

I have added a dropdown to select all users or unique users retrieved from a db.

All works very well, but I would like the current view (startdate and number of days shown) to remain after I make a selection in the dropdown as the page reloads.

For this to work I'll need to read the view and post it as parameters so it can be default after the reload.

So.. is there a way I can read what is the current view?
