Hello jqplot-users:

I'm checking out my jpPlot installation by cutting and pasting an
OHLCRenderer example into a test.html page, but keep getting the
following error message:

"h.jsDate is not a constructor"

This error refers to line 57 in jqplot.dateAxisRenderer.min.js.

After searching through older posts I see that this same issue was
brought up in Dec. 2010 by #2Will, and Cris Leonello replied in a Jan
2011 post:

"I recently reworked date parsing and formatting into a separate
package, jsDate. There was a bug in the build which didn't properly
bundle the files together. This should now be fixed in the
repository. Thanks for posting this. Sorry for the delay in getting
it fixed, I was busy over the holidays. "

Is this jsDate package included in the latest tarball? (I downloaded
jquery.jqplot.1.0.0b2_r1012 about a month ago).

The latest tarball release is r1080, which you can get from http://www.jqplot.com/deploy/download/

That page isn't linked from the main www.jqplot.com page.  You can get to it by going:

www.jqplot.com > Examples > "over here" > Download

I just checked r1080, and jsDate does exist in jquery.jqplot.js

I'm not sure why that download page is so hard to find.  Most people can only find the bitbucket download page that has r1012 as the latest version.

I've filed a bug report for this at https://bitbucket.org/cleonello/jqplot/issue/483

Thanks for this Tom! You saved my morning because the included version
of excanvas repairs my IE8 problem.

Cheers

Tony
