Hi all,

I've just created a CONTRIBUTING.md document in the jqPlot/jqPlot root as suggested by the Github Open Source Contributing Guide. 
The document has links to this forum / mailing list and a call-out that we are looking for more developers and maintainers of the project.

Feel free to edit the file as you see fit.
