Hello friends,

I just released Micro, a humble and tiny Java framework that I hope will help you build web applications with fun, and you are all invited to try it out. Still in beta and you may find some rough edges, but able enough to do some heavy lifting: services, or publishing, REST or just HTML ... or Markdown only, have a look :)

The code is at Github: https://github.com/florinpatrascu/micro, and the official documentation is hosted at Heroku by ... Micro itself! Here it is the link to the docs: http://micro-docs.simplegames.ca/, and here it is the repo for the docs: https://github.com/florinpatrascu/micro-docs. As you can see everything is open source, how else?!

Micro is also a rack application, using JRack: https://github.com/florinpatrascu/jrack, and it allows the user to extend almost every component of it. I started few repos that will host:

The documentation is a first release, and since English is not my first language I apologize in advance for typos and/or grammar mistakes, hopefully you guys can help me out with it :) Feel free to fork and send pull requests for any of the repos above.

Maven fans: currently you need Ant to build, test and play with Micro, but I am working on releasing the Maven config files too, so don't despair, please.

I will create a new user-group for Micro, but since I am maintaing both JPublish and Micro, you can ask any questions here as well, on the JPublish user group.

More to come soon, thank you,
-florin

Hey Florin, this is great! Congratulations!

PS.- I'm about to go to bed and I'm sending this message from the iPad, can't wait to get back to my desk to give micro a try tomorrow! Good your back writing Java, I thought we were going to loose you to Ruby :)

Thank you, Alejandro!
