JPublish applications can now use a very nice ORM support through the
beautiful Cayenne framework. I have to admit that initially I started
to implement the Hibernate support (work in progress) but then I
became more and more attracted by the vibrant community of Cayenne.
You can read the full announcement on my blog:
http://weblog.flop.ca/2007/10/12/1192245426029.html, or have a bit a
patience until I am updating our Wiki: http://code.google.com/p/jpublish/wiki/OrmSupport
For the inpatient :) as always, we have a demo ready to roll:

Please send us your comments and ... enjoy JPCayenne!
:)
Cayenne 2.0.4 upgrade, find more details here: http://
cayenne.apache.org/2007/10/12/october-12-2007-cayenne-204-and-124-
released.html
Our SVN is updated accordingly.

Also, if you'll not feel offended by Gavin's statement ("GUI mapping
tools are for sissies ;-)", http://www.theserverside.com/discussions/thread.tss?thread_id=26498#125708
) then I believe Cayenne's visual helpers will speed up your
development considerably. I personally believe Cayenne is designed for
busy Java developers with stuff to do at work :)
Some of the links above are a bit outdated but still valuable. I hope
they'll help,
