Dear devotees,
Dandavat pranams.
Today was a very active day as usual for HH Jayapataka Swami Gurumaharaja.
He went early to Sri Yoga pitha, the appearance place of Sri Krsna Caitanya
Mahaprabu ar Sri Mayapur dham, Sri Yoga pitha in fact is considered the
centre of the lotus flower of Sri Navadiwpa Dham. Many senior devotees were
present with thousand of international devotees who joined this transcendental
parikram to associate with the main holy tirthas where the most important
pastimes of the Panca Tattva happened and still as they are nitya lila.
HH Jayapataka Swami inaugurated officially the parikram 2009 along with his
very dear god brothers, Their Holinesses Gopal Krsna Goswami, Lokanath
Swami, Candramali Swami, Bhakti Caitanya Swami, Kavicandra Swami and others.
I am sending a full report tomorrow on this very important event for the
devotees. Tomorrow they will be at Narashimha Pali and HH JPS will go there
for short time as it is his last day in Mayapur as on March 1st he is
scheduled to go back to Bombay.
Today was his last Caitanya Lila night class, I had the mercy to assist him
tonight and it was delighting seeing him talking about 2 pastimes of lord
caitanyas childhood, like when he was taken by the 2 thieves and the other
one when the brahmana visited his family and he uses to take the bhoga
offered to Gopal the deity of the brahmana beggar.
GM also offered to give darsan tomorrow night as there will be no class.
As it was also announced devotees can make a small safari and join GM in
Tirupati at the end of the month as he wants to go to see Balaji, and then
from there come back to Mayapur for his Vyasapuja celebration. Marici prabhu
is arranging for this safari this year. GM will be taking therapies at the
Bhaktivedanta Hospital.
After the lecture HH JPS went on his wheel chair accompanied by devotees to
the Namahatta building taking the back road in front of the BBT to address
the assembled Bengali devotees who will start their Namahatta tomorrow and
join the international group. He was received by thousands of devotees who
had a main program inside the main centra area of the building, HH Subhag
Swami was present addressing the devotees along with Namahatta leader HH
Gauranga Prema Swami.
The activities of our beloved Gurumaharaja doesn't finish yet although it
was little late, but still he joined the devotees in the main Pandal program
organized by the ministry of Book Distribution as they were giving their
International awards for the best book distributors around the world, When
we reached HH Gopal Krsna Goswami was addressing devotees. After GM was
taking to the stage and addressed the devotees telling many stories and
experiences in his life while use to distribute books and the orders of
Srila Prabhupada on book distribution. He also told a story of a lady that
was on a flight and asked for a book and surrendered during the flight. It
was impressive for many devotees this story. GM then went in front to the
main park towards the temple building and decided to walk little bit with
the help of the walker. I will inform more details in tomorrows report with
pictures.
