ISO-8583:1987 documentation

Hi Everybody

I am looking for the specifications  of the ISO-8583 published in 1987 (not the 2003 one or the 1993 one). This specification is no more provided by the ISO organisation.

Could someone bring me a pointer to this documentation on hte net?

Although the standard is 'withdrawn' I would think that they won't have
deleted it for all time and that if you ask, they could find a way to share?

Yes I asked the ISO customer service that answered to ask to my local ISO organisation, i.e., the AFNOR, which in turn states that this ISO-8583:1987 was not anymore available. (see their mail below)

That seems short-sighted to me - if someone wanted to pay then why not
supply.

Oh well, seems you are down to locating one in the wild.

May I ask what you wanted to know? Are you needing to connect to a
system that still implements the 1987 'standard' ?

Yes, I am currently implementing the French CB2A protocol in C++ (which IMO, is easier than in Java!), and CB2A is based on the ISO 8583 1987 version (as well as the Visa protocol also if I am correct).
