Read Timeout When Sending ISO 8583 Message via jPOS (NACChannel)

Dear Team,

I hope you are doing well. I am currently working on an ISO 8583 integration using jPOS in Kotlin and have encountered a read timeout issue after sending a message via NACChannel.

Here is what the server side provided:

• IP
• Port
• SSL certificate (pem file)
• TPDU

Issue Description

• The connection to the server is successful.
• The message is sent without errors, but I do not receive any response from the server, leading to a read timeout.

Implementation Details

• Packager: ISO87APackager
• Channel: NACChannel
• jPOS Version: 2.1.7

Could you please help identify possible reasons for the read timeout?

• Does NACChannel expect any additional headers apart from message length + TPDU + ISO Data?
• Are there any known issues with NACChannel in Kotlin?
• Any debugging recommendations to ensure the message is correctly formatted and processed by the server?

If you are sending an iso8583 message to a server and it's not responding you should ask the server implementation to tell you what they did not like in your message.
If your channel and packager are not aligned with what the server expects it has no clue on what it should respond with.
