Dear Mark

I have been using JPOS for sometime now and have successfully
certified my switch for VISA issuing and acquiring transactions.

However, now i have shifted my focus to MasterCard.

I am using the MIP simulator to perform 0100 baseI transactions.
Unlike VISA, MC uses ASCII. When i tried using the BaseIpackager and
ASCII channel combination, the MIP simulator does not receive the
request.

Can you recommend me packager/channel combination to be used for
mastercard using Jpos 1.6.4

Earlier i had sent this question to the dev group. So here it is in
the mailing list. Please help.

The Channel controls and defines the wrapping for the network, *not* the
message content.

PostChannel should be good for MasterCard, as it provides the 2 byte
binary length.

As for the packager, perhaps EuroPackager will be a place to start looking?

Hi Mark

Thanks for your recommendation. PostChannel/EuroPackager combi works just fine with the MIP simulator with minimal changes to the packager. Will keep you  posted.

Dear Mark

Apologies for my delayed response.

Just to give your team an update, I have completed the mastercard certification. Thank you very much for your recommendations. The packager and channel recommended by you worked beautifully well.

However, i had made a minor change on the EuroPackager for Field 48. Removed the ISO Field Packager and packaged the sub fields manually for DE48 using (LLL_CHAR). Maybe i was in a bit of a hurry during the certification and didnt bother trouble shooting much when the DE48 element gave error. Will revisit this using the original configuration of JPOS for DE 48. WIll keep you posted.

Thanks once again for your support.

1. Please do not reopen 7 year old threads.
2. Always ask smart questions.
3. Check and confirm your need for a commercial license for jpos - sounds like you will need one.
4. Do your own work first.

Please share your inputs/advise in the email if possible
email id: saxen...@gmail.com.

5. Never ask for responses to a personal email on a mailing list!

thank you for the support and cooperation
