Hi team,

This is a quick question to find out if anyone has seen the benefit of using Linux OS over windows for the JPOS application.
I use a windows server at the moment and make the Q2 service a windows service using YAJSW. I'm just curious to know if using this wrapper service could have any negative impact on the service.

Please, note that the question is not because I'm having any specific issues. I will be upgrading the application to JPOS 2.1.9 and doing some code refactoring and there could be an opportunity to change the OS if required.

Regards,
Shade

Hi Shade, I cannot compare with Windows, because it has been so long since I executed jPOS in a Windows OS. But one benefit I can mention of running it on Linux is the support.

If you encounter some trouble, there will be more probabilities that the community will be able to help if it is running on Linux, since it is by far the most common environment for running jPOS in production.

Regards.
