Hi All,
we are payment processor and using Way4 - an OpenWay product - to
connect to banks.
We want to extend our channel to mobile, IVR, internet and now looking
for multi-channel gateway like ISO/Bridge.
I'm wandering if ISO/Bridge can work with Way4, any help?
thanks in advance.

way4 talks TCP/IP, supports the usual scheme interfaces (ISO8583), xml
and others.
jPOS talks TCP/IP, supports the usual scheme interfaces (ISO8583), xml
and others.

ISO/Bridge is jPOS, and thus will be able to connect to way4, if that is
what you need.

Are you looking for an xml to other format conversion?

What is it you need to achieve, in terms of protocol conversion or
bridging (from what to what)?

Thx a lot for your help.
this is our situation:
we are startup payment processor in vietnam, pls note that Vietnam is
still very much cash society
we invested in Way4 system and connected to 7 banks (more connections
coming up at the end of this year), we got POS network to distributed
prepaid cards, e-vouchers anf allow ATM card top up.
now we're looking for new channel and product like:
- introducing e-wallet
- e-POS( or POS on PC): this is to incease unmber of POS as well as
reducing the investment (per POS)
- internet payment gateway: allow e-commerce site to do transaction
via our network.
- SMS micro-payment : (card not present)
so this is what I want.
from my understanding this is what we need to do
- enable a host to host connection from Way4 that dedicated for ISO/
Bridge.
- implement ISO/bridge and connect it to Way4.
- develope new channel to interact with ISO/Bridge
honestly I'm not quite familiar with both JPOS and Way4 so this is my
questions:
- possibility of conectivity between ISO/Bridge and Way4 ( of course
I will check with Openway, but others advice are more than welcome)
- how can we do the PIN verification if card present and card not
present?

Thanks al lot and best regards,
Tung Vu

This would need you to decide which message structure you want to talk
to way4 under. This could be Visa or the xml format, but the decision
is yours in conjunction witht the components you already have
purchased with your way4 software.

As above, it will depend on the message format chosen.

Usually (someone will jump in if I am incorrect) the format to talk to
the ISO/Bridge is xml, but it doesn't have to be.

You will need to pick a common message structure between the two
products.

PIN verification is conducted by the Issuer, are you the Issuer or are
you simply the switch or gateway to the actual Issuer. You might need
to implement PIN block translation between zone keys. For this you
will need a secure devise (HSM) for secure key handling.

Hi Vu,

ISO/Bridge can work with Way4. You just need the correct channel and packager.
I have worked on Way4 many times on host-to-host connections and other external APIs but not POS/ATM.

jPOS can provide the bridge that we can contribute on the channel and packager customizations.

your needs and use.
