Dear All,

We have two jpos applications that communicated with each other in order to authorize and settle transactions, however sometimes we get this error in the logs and the services stops communicating with each other, this is resolved only when we restart the service.

Kindly let me know what can be done to avoid this issue.
The below is the error message that we see in the logs.
Error not able to send the response , source is null or disconnected !!

Please always start by asking a smart question!

Where is this message issued from (which jpos application), what is the full error message?

These are just two pieces of information among manner that at this point you should have gathered and shared.

Please go and read enough of http://www.catb.org/esr/faqs/smart-questions.html since this is not your first time here.

The entity that sent the request disconnected so the source is not there and response cannot be sent.
You should provide your channel adaptor or server deploy files with timeouts you have configured.

It is likely the qserver uses the mode of the last connected channel to respond back. If another service connected / disconnected, last one probably will be the one the message gets sent to. When restart you intended channel it will connect again and become then last connected
