Unkown digits in field DE55

Dear JPOS users,

I am working on visa transaction, where i am using JPOS as simulator.
i am sending message( from a tool) to switch and switch in turn sends the message to simulator (ie Jpos)

Switch while sending response to simulator (Jpos), between field 53 and field 55, a 8 digit value is inserted by switch.
till field 53, i can parse successfully. Also i can parse field 55, but couldn't be sure where this 8 digit(59010056) fits. its not length as conventionally, field 55 will be prefixed by its total length of DE55

How to accommodate this eight digit(59010056) in jpos field 55, if it's related to DE55?

What is the switch you mention made of?

If it is messing with the data flowing, then it is that system or owners thereof that you need to be asking.

With the detail provided, we could only be guessing.

Will customization be done by manipulating ISO8583 field specification itself ??? is it possible to handle by any customization from my end?? Thanks in advance...

If you can describe it, you can probably do it we are in a java framework after all.

If you are actually asking :-

Can something in jpos majically take care of random data mixed in with an otherwise correctly formed visa message, then you don't really want my answer; nor would it do you any good.

Ask the switch vendor why they are breaking your message, ask them to stop it or define precisely what they are adding.

With thus detail.you might ask for help again, but do spend a little bit of time thinking for yourself before doing so 😞👍.
