Planning to design the customizable parts of jPOS such that when
needed, I could setup multiple FI's without the messages tripping on
each other.
One possibility I'm thinking about is that under Q2, I would configure
multiple QServers, obviously each with distinct ports and request
listeners and just sit back and enjoy the view. This seems a bit iffy,
as I'm not confident about how QMUX's in/out queues relate to this
scenario.
However, I think it should also be possible to start up multiple Q2
instances, no? Each with its own QServer+ReqLstnr combo, right?

Should I up my medications or is any of the above possible?

Medication seems to be OK, both options are valid. I'd go for the
multiple qservers and multiple qmux and channels in a single Q2. That's
the way we run our own transaction switch (that we call jSwitch) which
is connected to over a dozen different acquirers and retail chains.
