Variables in xml files

Hello all. Glad to be part of this big community. I'm using JPOS (not JPOS-EE). I have a question about my server.xml file.

<server class="org.jpos.q2.iso.QServer" logger="Q2" name="server_iso">

  <attr name="port" type="java.lang.Integer">10000</attr>

  <property name="allow" value="127.0.0.1" />

</server>

How could I replace "10000" and "127.0.0.1" with variables ? Where would I save the variables and how would I reference them in this file ?
