Hello, everyone!
Can you believe that Fall semester '09 is only 4 weeks away?
I'm really excited about the upcoming year, as I have lots of fun new stuff that I want to try out. Whereas many previous jobs that I've had got more boring as time went by, teaching Japanese seems to get better and better. =)
If you missed previous announcements, my Big New Experiment for this year is going to be opening up my JPNS 1001 class to participants via the web. While online learners won't be able to get credit, I'm going to do my best to upload all of the materials needed for motivated learners to follow along with us, including tests and quizzes (with answer keys!).
I know that most people on this list have already taken at least JPNS 1001/1002, so this course may not be for you, but if any of you have any friends/relatives/hamsters that are interested in taking an introductory Japanese course, please tell them about it.
Anyone who is interested should first register on my web site, and take a look at some other important information:
Important information for "virtual" JPNS 1001 students
Especially important is for new learners to get hold of the books we'll be using.
Also, please note that the Japanese with Tony-Sensei web site was torn down and built back up again over the summer, so if you were previously registered on the site, you probably aren't any longer. If you wish to remain part of the site, therefore, you will need to re-register yourself. One of the cool new features is that you can now register using your Facebook account.
Anyway, if you know anyone who might be interested in joining us, please forward this email to them!
Thanks, and have a great end of summer and new school year!
