Ben --

Are these revenue numbers adjusted for the square footage of the store that will be in JP?

In the first quarter of 2011 the average weekly revenue per store in 2010 was $644,000 (source quarterly results). Average per-store opening cost was $1.9 million.

The average size WF store is 38,000 sf (http://www.wikinvest.com/stock/Whole_Foods_Market_(WFMI)).
The HiLo space is 17,000 sf.

Not sure what you meant by "per-store opening cost."  In what seems to be a similar situation, in 2008/2009 WF spent $5M in a 5-6 month remodeling the old Bell Market store (17,400 sf) in Noe Valley. (http://www.noevalleyvoice.com/2009/February/Bell.html)

Hey Jay, et al,

These are not adjusted. I have no information on the revenue of
specific-sized stores, only the average, which the writing clearly
states. If somebody can find another cite-able weekly revenue figure
for a store closer to the size of the potential JP Whole Foods, go for
it.

Thanks,

Ben
