Hello all,
Last night's meeting was spent mostly on going through the "interim recommendations document" circulatedby email yesterday. I'm attaching an updated version. A few items have been deleted, a few say TABLED FOR FUTURE CONSIDERATION, which means that we did not have broad agreement and will discuss in the future, the rest everyone in attendance seemed to be in support of. The items that say $$$ after them, may need to be revisited once we've attached a $ amount to our ask. If you authored that section or made that recommendation, feel free to propose a $ amount for discussion.
So, obviously, we are not done yet. I am going to report to the JPNC on Tuesday that we are making significant progress and should be done with the report in mid-June. Dave Baron is drafting a short statement from this committee and/or the full council to be given at the WF meeting June 2.
We have set up a final schedule for the next two weeks:
Monday, May 30 5 PM: All new information to the report is due. No major additions will be accepted beyond this point. A small group has volunteered to take editing from here. If you want to make edits from this point forward, please make them in the comments section.
Wednesday, June 1 7 PM: Meeting, location TBA. Purpose will be discuss outstanding issues on interim recommendations.
Monday, June 6 11 PM: Editing completed. Final draft in google docs for folks to read over the next week.
Monday, June 13 7 PM: Meeting, location TBA. Purpose will be to approval final report. This meeting will hopefully be quite short as there will be no, or only minor edits left.
Thanks for all your work to this point! I'm impressed by the quantity of information of quality of the report thus far. Just a little more work over the next 2.5 weeks and I think we'll be able to come up with a final report we can feel pretty good about.
Steve
