Thank you to those who provided their suggestions for improvement to
the ppt. Claire is working on your ideas. I'm going to print the mac
version to ensure the font and formatting transfer, but will also edit
the pc version we save to the jump drive to ensure that the formatting
is correct should we have to use the powerpoint version.
Crystal:
How do you want your slide to look? Your slide title can be the "Value
of Water" but if you just want pictures while you give your
introduction please let Claire know so that she can remove the
additional slide and make the necessary changes.
Team:
Before the presentation begins, we will hand the judges the bottles of
dirty water. In lieu of saying the water facts ourselves, the most
powerful ones have been placed on our slides. Our opening therefore
will be a more direct acknowledgement of the dirty water we provide.
We will introduce ourselves and Crystal before you begin your
introduction you will say something along the lines of:
"Judges, we realize you may be tired from the other presentations, and
so we wanted to provide you with something to quench your thirst.
However, the water we provided is obviously not fit for drinking.
While leisurely sips of water are common in America, there are places
in the world with severely limited access to clean water. Having
identified this problem Team Nine would like to present our
recommendation for the J.P. Morgan Good Venture Investment."
If someone else would be more comfortable saying the opening, we can
definitely switch it up a bit. Feel free to email the group with your
suggestions/comments/or ideas for improvement!
Go, Fight, Win!

| Thanks for your immediate response Claire and Erica. Everything looks like it is on track now, I feel more than comfortable opening the presentation if thats okay with everyone else. I've attached my speaking part so I guess I leave it up to Claire what she would like to put on the slides as long as their are no sentences :-) If you don't have the time let me know and I'll try to change it on the google group before 3 pm, I just don't want to make changes that won't get converted to the correct version on your computer but besides that everything else looks amazing, thanks for you hard work and understanding with the powerpoint Claire, see everyone tonight winning team 9!!!!!!!!!! My speaking part after the opening: Water is one of the most basic and important substances on earth. Without it, life could not exist as it is needed for the development of all life forms including humans. It is so easy to take access to clean water for granted but so many are denied this basic need and struggle on a daily basis to obtain it. The health and economic impacts of today’s clean water crisis are staggering as lack of sanitation is the world’s biggest cause of infection. Today, nearly one billion people – about one in eight – lack access to clean water. And although water is a renewable resource, only about 1% of the earth’s fresh water is available for human consumption. While Humans can go weeks without food; the body can only survive 3 days without clean water. And according to conservative projections, just under 2 billion people in 48 countries will struggle against water scarcity in the year 2050, Now Erica Smith will discuss how our proposed project aligns with J.P. Morgan core values and Global Philanthropic mission. Crystal Miller Howard University Accounting (816) 588-4587 --- On Thu, 2/18/10, Erica Holmes <erica.n...@gmail.com> wrote: |
