Hello, I've just discovered this brilliant looking player. I've done some searching around this group and have spent the last week trying to find an AAC+ player for my website stream which is running from Icecast V2.

I would be very grateful if anyone could point me in the direction of progressing with this, I have tried putting my stream in to this player and tried some of the search suggestions but it seems impossible!

Kind regards
Tom

AAC+ is not supported by jPlayer.

Read this post here and you'll know as much as I do:

I followed the link and I do not see a final conclusion that it does not work.

It seem that if the browser support it, in HTML5 mode it's going to work.
Right?

I expect that AAC+ streams are supported by the HTML5 browsers:
Chrome, Safari, IE9, iOS 4+, Android 2.3, BB OS 7

Firefox and Opera will not work, because of the Flash fallback requiring the metadata at the start of the stream. But if there is some option for that on the AAC+ server, then it should work too.

I think it is a problem with icecast2 server.

Most browser support only standard m4a stream.

Here is 2 things I found on AAC+ and Icecast.
But it require a custom flash player:

and their custom icecast server seem to be just icecast2 + KH patches:
