As a follow-up to Roger's post last week about BEVs:  

conclusion: "The only automotive system commensurate with our long-term climate targets is one composed entirely of BEVs connected to an entirely carbon-free grid.”

... here's a plan which includes that suggestion but also takes a catholic view of the entirety of the response needed.
