HERITAGE WEEK AT MURRAY GROVE
Heritage Week at Murray Grove 2013 will offer a breakthrough level of preparation for religious leaders in religious education and in Unitarian Universalist heritage. It will prepare leaders in a uniquely comprehensive way, providing contemporary, relevant leader training for our denomination.
This summer, Liz Strong and Barb Greve will co-lead Heritage Week –
Sunday, July 7 – Thursday July 11, 2013. Jude Geiger will serve as
Minister of the Week. Liz has created this unique offering of
Universalist, Unitarian and Unitarian Universalist Religious Education History
and General History; Barb has enriched the program with original research.
The Religious Education Credentialing Committee states that the 24 hours of “Heritage Week will qualify as a structured learning experience for the “Philosophy of RE – UU” competency, and as a significant structured learning experience for the credentialed level.” The content will be good for continuing education for professionals and lay persons.
Heritage Week will also provide lots of free time to rest and relax, and
have fun at Murray Grove! Participants will be able to walk the labyrinth,
enjoy a pool party, sing around the fire pit, go to local beaches, lakes and
creeks, walk the nature trail, play games and enjoy arts and crafts. All
of this for $500 per person, double occupancy, including meals; ($550 after
June 1). (Limited single occupancy $125 extra.)
