What: Fifteen hours of standardized training in Ministry with Youth.
Plus: Praxis! We will join with Goldmine Youth Leadership School for shared meals, shared worship, and shared facilitation/video discussions – an immediate chance to consolidate what you’ve learned. We also expect this to be an outstanding opportunity for networking and mutual support among religious leadership.
BONUS for those in the RE Credentialing Program: The 15 hour praxis may be used as an additional “structured learning experience!”
Who: DREs, Youth Advisors, RE Leaders, and Ministers all welcome. Registration is limited, so sign up early!!
When: August 20-24 Tuesday 7pm to Saturday 2pm. Full participation is required to receive Renaissance Credit. Wednesday dinner will be available at 6:00pm.
Where: Stony Point Center http://www.stonypointcenter.org/ They have a shuttle to local transportation.

Rooms: Double occupancy rooms with single occupant hallway bathrooms. Some single rooms available at $250 additional for 4 nights.
Module Goals:
● Provide tools for participants to create and support youth ministry that is balanced in terms of shared youth adult leadership, types of programming, and developmental appropriateness
● Explore the physical, cognitive, social, identity, moral, and faith development of youth, and build greater understanding of the unique experiences of different generations of youth in congregations and how they impact youth ministry
● Help participants imagine and create youth ministry that goes beyond a one-size-fits-all approach and offers many pathways for youth involvement in congregations
● Equip participants to be adaptive in developing youth ministries appropriate to their congregation’s size and youth needs and interests
● Address the unique role of religious educators in youth ministry, including administration, creating safe congregations, working with parents, and the recruitment, training, and support of youth advisors
