Happy New Year everyone!

We've got blue skies and snow on the ground in NYC, which is bliss to
me. Obviously, I'm not in charge of shoveling here...

My latest short I DON'T SLEEP I DREAM premieres at Slamdance later
this week. This film is the third and final chapter in my THREE USES
OF THE KNIFE trilogy of short films about moral dilemmas and sharp-
bladed objects. I DON'T SLEEP reveals how the characters of TAKE IT
OR LEAVE IT? (2005) and DRY CLEAN ONLY (2006) are related to each
other -- and takes things quite a bit further. The film features the
always awesome Jo Mei of BEIJING HAZE and Debargo Sanyal of DRY CLEAN
ONLY, as well as some great music and amazing visual effects. If you
can't catch it in Park City, I hope you'll see it at a festival near
you later this year.

Speaking of BEIJING HAZE, it was a total surprise and honor to share
the prize for Best Fiction Film at the Tirana Film Festival in Albania
last month. Stay tuned for details about more BEIJING HAZE screenings
this year.
