Spring MVC Project - Lab for Spring Tool Suite Setup

I am following the instructions in the first lab in the Spring Overview and Tools lab and keep getting the following error:

HTTP Status 404 – Not Found

Message /examples/

Description The origin server did not find a current representation for the target resource or is not willing to disclose that one exists.

Pivotal tc Runtime 3.2.8.RELEASE/8.5.23.A.RELEASE

Any hints as to what the error might be or places to look?

Paul,

Hmm. It worked for me. Can you make sure you select

  New->Spring Legacy Project->SpringMVC Project?

If the problem still persists, try

  Right click the project->RunAs->maven install and
  Right click the project->RunAs->Run on Server

Hi Sang.  

I recreated a new project as New>Spring Legacy Project>SpringMVC Project

I did a successful Right click the project->RunAs->maven install

and then when I did RunAs>Run On Server, I got the same error as before.

Not sure what to try next..

I even tried to take the WAR file generated and run it separately in Apache Tomcat but the WAR file failed to deploy successfully on server startup.
