Does anyone know any good tutorials for beginners trying to learn java web development online or any good books?

If you have patience in reading book then I would suggest go for Head First Servlets and JSP's.

Else Manning publication is also a good book. This both books I find worth reading for complete understanding of Servlets and JSP's.
