JPASE R Officers,

I would recommend this experience for each of you if you have the time.  As you become more senior you have fewer opportunities to be a Recorder.  Serving as a Member involves a shorter time commitment but Recorders get to see the entire process and sit in the tank when other boards go to vote.  As you become more senior you have fewer opportunities to be a Recorder.  MCCM Elliott tells me the chief boards last a bit longer than officer promotion boards.

All,

For those of you considering applying to serve on a board, the revised schedule was just posted at 

http://www.public.navy.mil/bupers-npc/boards/selectionboardsupport/Pages/FY15%20Board%20Schedule.aspx 

Our boards will all have "Reserve" and "Line" in the title.

For instance the Commander's Board for promotion in FY15 will convene March 4, 2014.
