Hi guys,

I've had numerous requests for the RMS Group photo from SFD. Here's the thing - I simply cannot get the photo stitching to work properly.

I've spent hours on this, trying GIMP and Hugin primarily, creating control points, trying to get it to match up decently.

Unfortunately there are too many idiots in the photos who decided to move between the shots :( So short of using Hugin for a general first matchup and then individually fixing ('shooping) all the messed up people on the seams I don't know what else to do. Unfortunately I simply don't have any time left to spend on messing with it.

Hopefully one of you is a master at Hugin or another app that works as well. Here's a link to a Dropbox folder that contains the original photographs:

There's also one stitched photo in there that was probably the most successful of all my attempts, but there are still people with two heads on the seams.

I don't want everyone in this group to go and waste hours of their lives on stitching attempts like I did, so please consider posting here first that you can do it and are going to do it. That way we won't have everybody wasting their time in parallel. Just a suggestion.

Knock yourselves out. If you do get it right, please post the stiched images back to the group first for sign-off instead of simply distributing to the entire world?
