Hi Everyone~

 

If you're receiving this, you've either served at Paterson before, offered a service, showed interest, in C2K TLC or we've talked to you about it before. Coming up on October 7th, Joy will be serving Paterson again. It's a week and a few days ways away, but I want a good idea of who's going to be able to make it.

 

To give you an update/preview:

 

The kids have been coming consistently;15-18 per week. We've had worship and praise, bible study, lunch and then and activity in the afternoon until 2:30.(This does not conflict with JNOISE) Praise God for providing a significant amount of volunteers since the first time Joy met. We've organized a new format where each church has one designated week to serve. The churches now taking part are Han Moory, Chodae youth group, Remnant and NYPC.

 

For October 7th, we need volunteers to be bible study teachers, praise members(drums, guitar, people who know motions to songs, other talents) possible actors/actresses for a simple skit (parts will be sent a few days before and can be practice the morning of), and extra hands to help keep the kids on task in general are needed. For that week, Paul Cho has graciously volunteered to cook the snacks and lunch for the kids and the afternoon activity will be Tae Kwon Do. Yeon from Joy has experience as a Tae Kwon Do instructor and has volunteered to run the class and teach the kids. We will need help supervising the kids since it's a tendancy that kids get excited when there's physical activity involved. If you have any previous experience in TKD, your expertise will be welcome too. Maybe you can break a board or two for the kids. :)
