I bought a DB-15 plug for soldering and soldered wires from an old USB cable onto it according to the pin assignments on joystickrehab. I plug the device into one of my computers' USB jacks (running Windows 10 x64) and no device is found. I tried the same with other USB ports, and also on a Windows XP laptop, without result. Am I doing something wrong?

Hello,
Are you sure that Logitech Wingman Extreme Digital has built-in support for USB? I have the same joystick as you and I was also thinking about using it in a newer computer. However, usually simple USB-DB15 cable adapter is referred to Logitech Wingman Extreme Digital 3D which is a newer version and it was supplied with USB adapter. I'm not sure if this adapter will also work for the older model (without 3D).
