I'm Jason, the admin and creator of Joystick Rehab. For me, this project has come out of my desire to use the late-model Gravis joysticks (pre-Kensington buyout) with Star Citizen. Although 10 years old, no joystick manufacture in my opinion has made a Joystick which has the feel of the Gravis. In fact, I played the game Wing Commander: Prophecy (and a few others) with a Gravis Blackhawk. I've tried others like the MS Sidewinder and Saitek models, but I just am not happy with any of them. Because of this, I am investigating ways to modernize the old Gravis Blackhawk and it's big brother, the Gravis Firebird 2. For the Blackhawk (non-digital) it will probably be as simple as finding the right Gameport to USB adapter for simple 4 button, 3 axis play. But the Firebird 2 is 4 Axis, 13 button plus POV hat. If only Firebird 2 never had the POV Hat... but it does. Maybe I can produce something of my own. Gravis Joysticks are very inexpensive on Ebay so parts are not an issue. What -is- an issue is time spent... but then again, I'm retired. I have plenty of time. :D
