Joy Avenue tours at Love our Local Fest

Neighbors and friends,

We're bringing Joy and Love together this weekend.  Pat Rasmussen with Edible Forest Gardens will be leading tours of the Joy Avenue Pathway and Garden during the Love Our Local Fest Sunday August 23 at 2 pm and 4 pm. The Pathway was planted with 59 kinds of edible trees and bushes for the neighborhood to enjoy into the future. Learn more about the plants by checking out our Garden of Eatin' guide.  The pathway and garden links Bethel to Tullis streets along the Joy Avenue right-of-way and is located in the 1600 block of Bethel Street about 1.5 blocks north of the SF Bakery.

A big round of applause, bravos and thank yous for everyone who came out last Saturday to rejuvenate the heat-stressed Joy Ave. garden and to help us look our best for the Love our Local Fest.   We'll be scheduling another work party in the Fall and hope you'll be able join us.
