To my fellow Joy Avenue enthusiasts,
To prepare for the not-to-be-missed Joy Avenue Pathway and Edible Forest Garden dedication and celebration on Sat. June 8. some boys from Touchstone will be laying down some more cardboard and chips this Sat. June 1 starting at 2:30 pm. They weren't able to join us on May 18 and we've been looking for another day for them to help out.
We're going to need some tools and supplies for the boys to use. It would be great if a few of you could drop by one or more of the supplies listed below for the boys to use. We expect the boys to be done by 4:30 pm or so. And, of course, if you'd like to stick around to help, all the better. The focus will be on covering over the area that Chuck Schulz worked so hard to clear of blackberry roots on May 18. - If you're able to drop by any of these supplies, please send me a note, so we know what to expect...
* Wheelbarrows
* Pitchforks and shovels
* Cardboard
Pat Rasmussen will be there on Saturday to show the boys what needs to be done. After the chips are laid down, she'll be planting some perennial vegetables in that area.
I'll be sending out a note with detials about the June 8 event soon.
Thanks
Peter
