Inexpensive, family friendly, weekend getaway suggestions?

My husband is on hold for federal court jury duty for the month of
August. Can you believe it? I am seeking good for the last minute
vacation spots within driving distance from the DC metro area ,
weekend getaway sort of deal . Any suggestions for an inexpensive,
family friendly (good for a four year old) places to visit?
