Hello,

http://www.erlware.org/projects.html currently lists joxa as alpha software and the git repo hasn't seen much activity for quite a while,  When do you think it might reach beta/release?

Also, a quick syntax question.  I'm new to lisps and have had a look at clojure recently but I can't see why joxa includes (defn xyz ...) and (defn+ xyz ...) What is the difference between these 2 forms?  What does the plus sign signify?

Thank you,  :-)

Robin,

Joxa is alive and pretty well used even. We have just been concentrating on other projects. I am expecting us to get back and concentrating on it in the beginning of 2014, basically after the holidays.

The defn vs defn+ is all about visibility. By default functions defined in a joxa namespace are not available outside of that namespace. The additional `+` exposes that function and then makes it available to be called from outside the namespace.

Hi Eric,

any news on your work with joxa?
I just noticed Joxa because of the Erlang conf last week.

There hasn't been any commit for quite some time.
Are there any Roadmaps so one could see what comes and what you think is missing

ciao robertj

Robin,

I have still been heads down on other things. Thats going to continue for awhile, unfortunately. Camshaft created a roadmap that is valid here https://github.com/erlware/joxa/wiki/Roadmap. We can edit and iterate on that. I have the time to help people get up to speed on the project if they are interested, just not the time to do lots of new development myself.

Eric
