Para darles algunos elementos de contenido: en junio pasado durante las negociaciones de clima de la ONU, algunos miembros YOUNGOs participaron en la reunión organizada por Ronan Dantec con otros grupos para escribir este comunicado. Esta declaración conjunta es una contribución común de los diferentes miembros de los grupos principales y grupos reconocidos por las Naciones Unidas, que tiene como objetivo abordar a los líderes mundiales convocados por la ONU-SG Ban Ki-moon, a la cumbre del clima prevista para el 23 de septiembre en Nueva York. 

Esto es consecuencia de una expresión común anterior de los actores no estatales del UN Open Working Group 7 on Sustainable Development Goals, con un documento de posición en  la defensa de un SDG independiente que trata sobre "Urbanización Sostenible",  preparado durante las diferentes reuniones de trabajo, en particular para la Cumbre Mundial sobre ciudades sostenibles, Ecocity. Este SDG abía sido respaldado por varias organizaciones miembros de los seis principales grupos -entre ellos varios socios en la organización - y se presentó a los co-presidentes durante las audiencias de la mañana en "Ciudades Sostenibles" en enero de 2014 en Nueva York. Esto permitió demostrar que organizaciones de distintos grupos de actores, no estatales, pueden trabajar juntos y hacer frente a los Estados miembros de la ONU en un proceso de negociación. 

Los iniciadores/redactores del primer texto han acordado continuar esta colaboración hacia la Cumbre del Clima en NY, convocada por la ONU-SG Ban Ki-moon, para relanzar la dinámica de la negociación en el camino a la Conferencia del Clima de París en 2015, ya que la Cumbre del Clima es una oportunidad única para actores no estatales para entregar mensajes comunes a los gobiernos nacionales sobre la urgencia y el nivel de ambición necesario para el acuerdo, y en sus propios compromisos para contribuir al logro de los objetivos que los gobiernos nacionales tendrán fijado para sí mismos. 

Esta vez, los dos principales grupos (los siguientes ODS-SDGs) y circunscripciones (las siguientes negociaciones sobre el clima) han sido invitados a unirse a la iniciativa. Climate action o bien, las acciones por el son cruciales para el desarrollo. Consideramos que las negociaciones del clima y las negociaciones de desarrollo post-2015 están fuertemente interconectados, como la declaración lo reafirma. Esto es muy importante para fortalecer el diálogo y la coordinación entre los principales grupos y constituencies para expresiones comunes en las negociaciones. 

Esta declaración conjunta ha sido elaborado con motivo de dos reuniones, en París, en marzo, y en Bonn en junio, y sobre la base de las contribuciones proporcionadas por los representantes de las diferentes organizaciones miembros de los nueve grupos. 

Esta será oficialmente enviada a Ban Ki-moon y para los Estados miembros de las Naciones Unidas antes de la apertura de la Cumbre del Clima. 

Ahora está abierto el espacio para la recolección de firmas. Tenemos menos de 3 semanas antes de la Cumbre del Clima. 2014 YOUNGO FPs to the UNFCCC

This joint statement is a common contribution from different members of major groups and constituencies recognized under the United Nations, that aims to address the world leaders invited by the UN SG Ban Ki-moon to the Climate Summit scheduled on the 23 of September in New York.

This follows on from a previous common expression of non-State actors for the UN Open Working Group 7 on Sustainable Development Goals, with a position paper defending a stand-alone SDG on “Sustainable urbanization”, prepared during different working meetings, in particular on the occasion of the World Summit on Sustainable cities Ecocity. It had been endorsed by various member organizations of six major groups –among them several organizing partners - and presented to the co-chairs during the morning hearings on “Sustainable cities” in January 2014 in New York. This enabled to show that organizations from different groups of non-State actors can work together and address the UN Member States in a negotiation process.

The initiators of the first text have agreed to continue this collaboration towards the Climate Summit, convened by the UN SG Ban Ki-moon to relaunch the dynamic of negotiation on the way to the Paris Climate Conference in 2015. That Summit is a unique opportunity for non-State actors to deliver common messages to national governments on the urgency and the level of ambition necessary for the agreement, and on their own commitments to contribute to the achievement of the objectives that the national governments will set for themselves.

This time, both major groups (following SDGs) and constituencies (following climate negotiations) have been invited to join the initiative. Climate action being crucial to development, we consider that climate negotiations and post-2015 development negotiations are strongly interconnected, as the joint statement recalls. It thus appears very important to strengthen dialogue and coordination between major groups and constituencies, for common expressions in the negotiations.

This joint statement has been elaborated on the occasion of two meetings, in Paris in March, and in Bonn in June, and on the basis of contributions provided by representatives of different member organizations of the nine groups.

It will be sent officially to Ban Ki-moon and to the UN Member States before the opening of the Climate Summit.

It is now open for signatures. We have less than 3 weeks left before the Summit.  If you are willing to join the organizations which have already signed the text, please confirm your signature by email tor.da...@senat.fr. Ce texte est une contribution commune de différents membres des groupes majeurs et des « constituencies » reconnus par l’ONU, visant à adresser un message aux dirigeants du monde invités par le secrétaire général de l’ONU, Ban Ki-moon, au Sommet sur le Climat qui se tiendra le 23 septembre à New York.

Il fait suite à une première expression commune d’acteurs non-étatiques pour le 7^ème Groupe de travail ouvert de l’ONU sur les Objectifs de Développement Durable (ODD). Préparé lors de plusieurs réunions de travail, notamment lors du Sommet mondial de la ville durable Ecocity, ce texte défendait un ODD spécifique sur l’ « Urbanisation durable ». Ce texte a été signé par des organisations membres issues de six groupes majeurs, notamment plusieurs "organizing partners", et a été présenté aux co-présidents du Groupe de travail lors de la session « Villes durables », en janvier 2014 à New York. Nous avons ainsi démontré la capacité d’organisations issues de différents groupes d’acteurs non-étatiques à travailler ensemble et à adresser des messages communs aux Etats membres de l’ONU dans un processus de négociations.

Les initiateurs du premier texte ont convenu de poursuivre cette collaboration pour le Sommet sur le Climat convoqué par le secrétaire général des Nations-Unies, M. Ban Ki-moon, en vue de relancer la dynamique de négociation avant la Conférence Paris Climat 2015. Ce sommet est une opportunité rare pour les acteurs non-étatiques de délivrer des messages communs aux Etats sur l'urgence et le niveau d’ambition d'un nécessaire accord, sur leurs propres engagements dans la réalisation des objectifs que se fixeront les Etats.

Cette fois, aussi bien les groupes majeurs (suivant les ODD) que les « constituencies » (suivant les négociations climat) ont été invités à se joindre à l’initiative. L’action contre le changement climatique étant essentielle au développement, nous considérons que les négociations climatiques et celles sur l’agenda post-2015 du développement sont fortement liées, ce que rappelle ce texte. Il nous semblait donc très important de renforcer le dialogue et la coordination entre les groupes majeurs et les « constituencies », pour des expressions communes dans les négociations.

Ce texte commun a été élaboré à l’occasion de deux réunions de travail, à Paris en mars, et à Bonn en juin, ainsi que sur la base de contributions de représentants de différentes organisations membres des neuf groupes.

Il sera officiellement envoyé à Ban Ki-moon et aux Etats membres avant l’ouverture du Sommet sur le Climat.

Il est maintenant ouvert à signatures. Il nous reste moins de trois semaines avant le Sommet.
