I'm sure you're probably are already aware of this issue, but I need
to put it out of "my system":
In edge the behavior of the scroll-bars on the columns have been very
random lately

Would you mind outlining the intended behavior in case I'm missing
something?

Thanks and keep up the excellent work with JournoTwit

I don't think I've seen them described as "Random" before.

You can scroll the columns using the scroll bar, one at a time in an indexed fashion.

Click the scroll bar and it'll skip to that place in the scroll bar.

Drag the scroll bar and it'll move up and down the column.

In the v. near future I will be adding:

Arrows top and bottom to move one at a time.
Secondary arrows top and bottom to move pages at a time.

Spode :)

Here's something I consistently see on Edge:
Click a couple of "in reply to..." links so the tweets are fetched and
show in the column
Click any of the scroll bar arrows, move the scroll bar or the mouse
wheel
The fetched "in reply to..." tweets disappear from the column

I can reproduce this every time on "build 0.9.12091"

Those look like good features to have, I'll be looking forward to
them.

Thanks and keep up the great work.

The In Reply To's disappearing is a known issue - I have yet to decide the best way to deal with this.

You may have noticed we've added up/down arrows that move a single tweet at a time. Also, clicking the scroll bar will no longer move to that position - but instead move 4 tweets at a time. This is only temporary though - I will modify the code to move to the next unseen tweet - 4 was just an arbitrary figure for the moment.

I'd vote to keep them open when scrolling, I find annoying having to
re-do the clicking on the "in reply to..." links.

Now that explain the "randomness", it wasn't evident to me, but now
that you've explained it it kind of make sense.
Not sure I like the behavior though, it's too different to my
preconception of a scroll bar.
I'd say make "Secondary arrows top and bottom to move pages at a time"
configurable so I can move X tweets at a time or a page at a time.
Clicking in the actual scroll bar should always take me to the
relative positions in the stack.

All this is IMHO and constructive criticism.

Thanks and keep it up,
Alex
