Hey All,

 

Just a small update from our side.....

 

On the first day a slew of changes have been initiated - 

 

1). INTERNSHIPS - Most of the people who were already working for the internships have agreed to stay on board till atleast the completion of the Summer Internships. That ensures that we have adequate representation from each of the specialization which was really important as the time is very short.

 

Placement work is standardised in the sense that each placement rep. would have updated records (on google groups) which would be accessible and reviewed by the faculty hence bringing fixation of responsibility and transparency. Also we would be sending out e-brochures and other deliverables to the corporates (the list of which would be decided and approved by the Director in tomorrow's meeting). 

 

In terms of calling companies in breadth and scope no stones would be left unturned and you can expect Grishma's mail by midnight!

 

(****** Students applying for International Internships - Arrangements have been made for international calling from campus. Just waiting for the Director's approval tomorrow)  

 

2). ALUMNI RELATIONS CELL - Sharing of databases between the ARC and Placement Cell has been decided to which extent a Policy document stating all rules and standardizing procedures has already been laid down (to be put up for approval in tomorrow's meeting).

 

Also decisions would be finalised tomorrow w.r.t. the first round of communication in March with the Alumni (in the form of Campus Updates) in tomorrow's meeting.

 

3). Applications put in to the Administration for -

 

   * Installation of UPS in SO7

   * Installation of more telephone lines in Council Room

 

4). Admin. work for tomorrow -

   * Taking up the issue of the yet-to-be received marksheets.

   * Follow-up w.r.t. today's applications

   * Solving all attendance related issues latest by 5 pm.

 

5). Informal Student's Council Meet at 9 pm today to consolidate the agenda and work for tomorrow's meeting.

 

Would inform everybody about the decisions taken in tomorrow's meeting with the Director through mail.

 

Please bring out any flaws/problems in the college process which could be bettered/ any other issue (It would be taken up in tomorrow's meeting) asap.

Hi Charu,

I cannot find your name in the list of approved members. Feeling a little queer, but yeah, please unsubscribe yourselves or mark the mail from this group id as spam, as that is the only option I can find as of now.

I hope none else from 2009 batch is receiving the mail from our end. In case that is happening, let me know.
