Hi 2011,

I have nothing against anyone having fun on email or otherwise, except that official resources must be excused from being used. We must be ready to get better somewhere. Isn't? Else, at this fag end, why would I want to strain my relationship with all of you &... yes, unlike what most of you think, 2011 is dear to me, as much or slightly more than what 2010 is.

Coming to your point regarding Batch 2010 spamming the simc.edu id - A specific derogatory mail sent by a senior student about 2 months back is the exact reason behind formulating the SIMC email policy, in the lines of those already available in SIBM. No action could be taken against her then, simply because the university asked for SIMC's email policies.

The control on 2011 was exercised yesterday cos' the thread was of abysmally cheap professional standards, as far as the purpose and usage of an official id is concerned. I keep a check on the content only when the thread runs too long. 

I too am of the opinion that a college means, fun with academics, but with a certain control.Do enjoy the days ahead at Lavale. Wishing you all the best. Seniors will always be there to help you out with internships & jobs. Emulate 2010 only in the good things they have done. Be the best by the time companies swoop in to place you. May the projects reflect the best you have in you.

To those who are unaware: REPLY TO ALL option is automatically switched off if you keep the email id's in BCC. 

N.B: Don't forget to prepare an alternate group id consisting of all the 200+ gmail/yahoo/hotmail email id's, where you can have all unofficial threads running. Those who do not wish to be part of it will unsubscribe themselves. This thread is what will exist after you leave campus and not the simc.edu id.

Sorry if I hurt the sentiments of the batch, but I agree to such policy documents or rather, prepare it myself, in a faint hope of watching students metamorphose to blue-blooded professionals, whom I can hire as a potential recruiter.
