music module assignment

the music module is officialy over as the 15 hours of lecture are completed. but however before bidding adieu to it, a small formality left to be complied with.....

ASSIGNMENTS!!!!

mr. shridhar has decided to give us two assignments (25 marks each)... please go through the next two paragraphs carefully to avoid any kind of misinterpretation:

1)  assignment 1: SELECT a visual clip(30 seconds or more) and try to incorporate fresh music into the clip. it could be a film clip, docu clip, serial clip. for any further clarifications get in touch with me or your classmates who were present( the attendance , i presume was full). please note that you shall also have to provide the old file with original music along with the NEW FILE WITH YOUR INCORPORATED MUSIC. apart from that a small note(preferably in word doc) explaining as to why the particular music you chose was chosen and what you'd like to interpret.

this can be a group assignment or an individual assignment. in case you want to pursue it as a group kindly mail them to me.(any one person from the group should mail).

however the upper limit for the group is 5. period!!! do mail in the group names to me latest by tuesday midnight as i shall then forward it to vinod sir for future reference. 

THOSE WHOSE NAMES ARE NOT IN THE GROUPS, I SHALL PRESUME YOU GUYS ARE DOING IT ALL BY YOURSELVES...

SO IN A NUTSHELL, THE ASSIGNMENT SHALL CONTAIN THE FOLLOWING:

1 THE ORIGINAL VIDEO CLIP

2. THE NEW VIDEO CLIP WITH YOUR MUSIC

3. THE WORD DOC (MENTIONED ABOVE)

please submit this assignment in an avi, mov or wmv file as they can be opened in vlc, windows or quick time.

2. assignment 2: THIS IS AN INDIVIDUAL ASSIGNMENT ONLY. select a film(fiction, non fiction) of your choice and critically analyse the music of the film. discuss how music has been dealt with in the film, probably citing examples from the film or giving a background of the music score used in the film. sir did not mention any word limit, so use your judgement. its for 25 marks...

this assignment has to be submitted in a softcopy.....

THE DEADLINE IS 20 TH SEPTEMBER 2010..5 P.M.. PLEASE ADHERE TO IT. OR ELSE, I MIGHT MAKE NEW ENEMIES...

i'll let you guys know about how and where to submit as the deadline draws near. so for the moment, ignite your musical senses and lets do an amazing assignment..
