Backlogs Forms: Batch 2011

Hey All,

 

1). Tomorrow after the Self Study Test all students having backlogs are kindly requested to go to the Admin. and fill up their forms for backlogs (both internal and external need to go).

 

2). In order to streamline things and not to have a stampede in the office a schedule would be put up on the notice board in the lunch break specifying the order of filling up the forms (specialization-wise). So please refer to that and ADHERE to that for everybody's convenience.

 

3). Also it is MANDATORY to fill in the backlog forms + PAY in order to appear for the backlog examinations.

 

4). The last date to pay the Fees is 5th march, 10 i.e. Saturday. (You will be informed tomorrow about the amount which each one is liable to pay when you fill the forms tomorrow.)

 

5), Even if you decide to pay the fees on 5th kindly go and fill the forms tomorrow.

 

6). Also students who have yet not received their mark-sheets and have a backlog are ELIGIBLE to appear for these backlog examination.

 

7). In case one does not know how many backlogs one is carrying kindly feel free to ask Mr. Dipak tomorrow itself.

Just to add 1 thing....

TNG students are not required to pay anything.

 

Exact Process to be done for TNG students to be announced in class tomorrow in the 1st brk after class....

 

So not to worry.....

Hi Ashwini,

Quite a few of us have received a backlog in design technology through no fault of ours.

So far we have received no support whatsoever to get this matter resolved and we now have to reappear for this module.

As a matter of principle (irrespective of the amount), I think it is grossly unfair to ask any of these students to pay fees to answer this exam. The admin has to take some accountability for a goof up on their part.

These fees must be waived off.

Can you please take this up with the admin and get this done?

sorry for the spam.I agree with daniel, first we have to write the internal this in itself is unjustified and unfair then to pay fees for it is stupidity.

It's not about an exam but about accountability and rectifying an error made on the part of the administration,this was 1st sem what if it would have been the 4th many of us would not have got degrees so i feel u should take this up as our representative.

 

Hope that there is something done on the this long pending issue.

sorry to bring it forward and spamming your mail box again.. the issues that daniel and ravi have brought up, are SERIOUS.. it might not be your personal problem but there might be many others who might be facing the same problem or problems similar to this.. 

 

so i think it is okay if they send such mails to the whole batch..

 

rest is your choice and understanding..

Dear All,

My only motive here is for us to get what we deserve - to be treated in a just and fair manner.

Silence will only create more situations like this in the future and then we shouldn't be the ones complaining then that things aren't going right.

If we are expected to behave like adults and be held accountable for our actions in accordance to rules laid down by the university I think its only fair that the same accountability applies for the admin as well.

If we sit back and wait for someone else to do something then trust me that wait will be very long. And this very silence may be the cause of another issue like this.

If you believe that this issue merits your input and support then voice it. Thats all! 

We have a very capable President who I am sure will take this forward and bring some sense of justice on this front.

Kindly Aratrika/Danny please take responsibility to make a list of such students of both the MBA and MMC Divisions with their roll nos., module (of mishap), specializations and their consent signatures for the same and give it to me latest by 4:30 pm today.

 

(and we can do without the theatrics :)

Hi Ashwini,

This is a brief recap.

Photoshop assignment 2 and 3 were submitted on cd on time. However these assignments were assessed very late and there were technical issues with the assignments not opening from the cd. We were not told that such was the issue. We could have easily re-submitted the assignments. However we were just marked 0 for no fault of ours. By the time we came to know about this the marks were already submitted to SIU leading to an internal backlog for some of us.

These are the students who have reported back to me stating that they have received a backlog because of this issue.
