Join us this holiday season as we celebrate Christmas in the breathtaking forests of western Arunachal Pradesh.  The more friends there are, the merrier the trip will be. So go ahead and share it with your friends and family...  ​

TRIP PRICE:

Rs. 36,000/-  

(per person for a group of 8 people)

The trip begins & ends at Guwahati.

We will meet

​

at

 Guwahati on Saturday, December 19th by 13:00. After lunch, we will leave for Tezpur by 15:00 in our Tempo Traveler that will pick us up at the airport.

For your return on Sunday, December 27th, please book your flights or trains from Guwahati after 14:00, as we will arrive there from Orang by 11:30

Also, please ensure that your flight / train bookings allow you ample time to reach the airport (1 hour from the city centre) or railway station (15 minutes from the city centre) as traffic in Guwahati can be bad. Since we'll come in straight from Orang, the group will get dropped off directly at the airport. Group members taking trains can also get dropped at the railway station.

CONFIRMING YOUR PARTICIPATION

Please confirm your participation at the earliest - flight tickets tend to cost more closer to the travel dates.  Please confirm your participation by sending us the advance amount. The last date for confirmation is December 12th.

EARTH-FRIENDLY TRAVEL

As you may be aware, carbon emissions are

​ ​

higher when we fly instead of taking the train. However,

​we do understand that ​

flying may be unavoidable

​​

because of the distance & time

​ involved.​

​To offset at least a part of our emissions, ​

we

'll be

 making a contribution

​from our​ side

 

​

to the ​Forest First​ ​Samithi ​in ​Wayanad, Kerala. They're ​good ​​friends of ours and are doing amazing work​ in conserving endangered species of local plants​.

​

Every tree planted on the planet helps reduce some of our emissions.

​

If you are Mumbai based, you could

​also ​

join us for a volunteering session at one of the wonderful Green Souls urban farms after the trip, to do some planting & harvesting... :)

However, if you have the time, we always recommend train travel over flying as it helps keep our carbon footprint low. The Saraighat Express, Kamrup Express & Kanchenjunga Express are good trains to take from and to Kolkata.
