Hi, :)

Wishing you and your loved ones a very happy Dussehra! :)

The year has flown by and 201
5 will soon be
 here. It's time to
end
the year with something fun and meaningful... like a ten day journey into the beautiful landscapes of Meghalaya
&
 Assam. Please see the
attache
d ebrochure
.

Trip dates:
 November 28th - December 6th

(please see attached brochure for the detailed itinerary)

Trip price:
Rs. 33,500/-

The trip begins & ends at Guwahati. The price includes all your expenses from Guwahati to Meghalaya and back, except your stay/food costs in Guwahati for 27th night.

The group will meet on Nov 27th at Guwahati as we need to leave for Kaziranga by 07.30 am on the 28th. For your return on December 6th, please plan your flights/trains from Guwahati in the afternoon or evening (after 2-3 pm) as we will arrive there from Shillong by 11 am. Also, do plan your flights/trains in a way that you have ample time to reach the airport or railway station. The airport is one hour away from the city centre and there can be bad traffic at times. The railway station is 15 minutes from the city centre.

CONFIRMING YOUR PARTICIPATION
Please confirm your participation at the earliest.  Flight tickets tend to cost more, closer to the travel dates.

The last date for confirming your participation, by sending in your advance payment, is NOVEMBER 20th.

EARTH-FRIENDLY TRAVEL
Since flying may be unavoidable for many because of the distance & time involved, we'll try and do a tree-planting session in Meghalaya which can help offset your carbon emissions. Alternatively, you could make a contribution to The Sapling Project in Mumbai - they're doing great work!  You could also buy some saplings and plant them yourself. We will also try doing a carbon audit of all the road travel that will happen on the trip, which you can choose to offset similarly.

However, if you have the time, we always recommend train travel over flying as it helps keep our carbon footprint low. The Saraighat Express & Kamrup Express are good trains to take from Kolkata.

GROUP SIZE
We're limiting the group size to 14 people (12 participants + Vinod & Homi, the 2 trip facilitators for this journey).  People are already starting to confirm, so please let us know about your participation at the earliest.

Looking forward to your joining us... :)
