Hey all,

Firstly, I would like to apologize for the delay in the posting of all the relevant details of the Journalist team on the group. I was not well for the past two weeks and got discharged from the hospital only yesterday.

In order to refresh everyone’s memory regarding the work and also introduce some new points, I will go through the procedure once again.

·        I am sharing the list which contains the contact details (Phone No., Room No., Hostel etc.) of the students to be interviewed and also the journalist assigned to them.

·        I have assigned around two to three students for each of the journalist.

·        First, contact the assigned student and fix an appointment at the earliest for the interview.

·        When you go for the interview, take the hardcopy of the questionnaire with you. Also, I have come up with the idea that in order to fasten up the interview, the journalist can take a mp3 player or their laptop to record the interview. They can later listen to the interview and write down things accordingly. This is optional and the journalists can use it if they are comfortable with it.

·        Make sure you get the answer for all the questions in the questionnaire.

·        On the completion of the interview, the journalist should enter the answers in the word document of the questionnaire (which I am sharing on the group). The soft copy of all the interviews should be uploaded on the group.

·        Each journalist should update the shared list on the group by indicating the status if the work.

 

Deadlines:

Completion of interviews: 8th April, 2011

Uploading of all the interviews on the group: 13th April, 2011

I have changed the deadlines keeping in mind that the delay was form my side and that each of you get enough time to complete the work. Please follow the deadlines.

And one important thing I forgot to mention last time: All the journalist team members will be getting certificates at the end of the academic year from the department given they work properly and maintain the enthu (which I think won’t be a problem J)

@ Second Year Journalists:  I have assigned one student to each of you. Those are the students from other branches who got placed in non-core companies. And what happened to the list of IITM Alumni profs list? Please post it on the group asap.
