Bourbon Bowl is a locally-owned and operated bowling alley with 6 full-service bowling lanes, a cocktail bar and indoor/outdoor dining areas serving tasty craft food, ice cold beer and premium cocktails.
Born out of a junkyard and an abandoned gas station, Bourbon Bowl sprang to life in June 2021. Occupying a key piece of land at an important intersection in Downtown Greensboro, NC, we knew the Bourbon Bowl project was an integral piece to the ongoing revitalization of the downtown district in our beloved Greensboro. We had to do it right!
Bourbon Bowl's main focus is on our passion for creating delicious craft foods, cocktails and beers. For parties of 6 or more, we offer advanced lane rentals during specific periods of time. These rentals are for 2 hours and include shoe rentals for your group. (Lanes must be reserved in sets of 2.) Available times include Monday-Thursday between 4pm to 9pm, Friday between 4pm to 6pm, and Saturday/Sunday between 11am to 3pm. We do not offer evening rentals on the weekends due to high demand

When I was ten years old and on a family vacation, my mother needed to go into a bowling alley to find a pay phone. I remember gazing all around that alley, trying to figure out what was so bad in there.
When I started pastoring as an intern, I discovered that my senior pastor liked to go bowling with his son. I guess that helped chip away at my concern about bowling, and when I got tickets for free bowling a few years later, I nerved up and tried it. One thing that appealed to me was calculating my score, although now the alleys do that for you, which takes away part of the fun. But I like throwing a ball and seeing how many pins I can knock down, or seeing if I can knock down the pins that my first throw missed.
The same question could be applied to coffee drinking (which I now do, for health, not taste), liquor drinking (which I will probably never do), and watching a movie at a theater (which I do once in a while).
If there is sufficient evidence to back up a conclusion, go ahead and toss in a quotation, especially from a proven authority in the field. But even a proven authority has boundaries. Linus Pauling was a wonderful scientist, but his assertions about vitamin C were wrong and even hurtful, in that they led people to rely on vitamin C instead of better treatments.

Bowling has been an FSU tradition since its inception in 1964 starting with Crenshaw Lanes, a twelve-lane facility previously located in the Oglesby Union complex. In 2018 construction began on a new FSU Student Union building which opened in the fall of 2022. With the opening of the new building Crenshaw Lanes was renamed the FSU Student Union Bowling and Billiards Center, and boasts twelve lanes of bowling, a pro shop and eight full-sized billiard tables in a new state-of-the-art center.
Along with bowling, Bowling and Billiards offers a number of programs including bowling leagues, billiards tournaments, intramurals, parties, cosmic bowling, late night programming and open bowling. Bowling and Billiards is a popular party spot for student and university groups.
Bowling and Billiards also serves as the home to the FSU Bowling Team who represent the university in intercollegiate bowling competitions and has established itself as one of the elite programs in the country. Stay tuned as the FSU Bowling Team is starting up again with the opening of Bowling & Billiards in the Student Union!
