Hey, I caught your posting on the DnD Forums about the group you're
setting up for playing 4th Edition- I'd love to join.

My work schedule is so flexible that it's hardly worth mentioning at
all, so pretty much any time will work for me.
I need to do a bit of research on the public transportation systems
(Just moved to Arvada from a thousand miles away, and I don't drive),
but that shouldn't take long at all, so I'll probably be ready to play
whenever everyone else is.

I'm more interested in the New Wine campaign- I have trouble taking
anything really seriously, so I don't always mesh so well in serious,
story-heavy campaigns.
I haven't had a chance to actually experience 4th edition as a player,
but I DMed a short campaign of it during the summer, and I'm loving
the edition so far.

Looking forward to this!
-Lena

P.S: Should I repost most of this on your group board as well?

Hey Lena!

I'm glad to hear that you're interested in joining the game. I think
it's going to be fun. With your addition to the fold, I think we're
on pretty solid footing now as far as having enough available players
to start this up soon.

If you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Hi im new to the Denver area, looking for a group to join,
i see your sessions started a couple weeks ago?
is there still room in these games?
or could you reccomend other groups for me?
i have experience with 3.5, but have yet to join a 4.0 game
though i have the three book set, and need only put the rules to
practice.

i'd much appreciate an email with more information

on any local groups starting a campaign,
or what i need to do to join your campaign.
my schedule is extremely flexible.

Hey there Kontazler.

Do we still have room in the game? That's a great question. The
short answer is: I don't know, really.

The longerish answer is that in THEORY, if everyone whom I think might
show up does, then we'll probably be pretty much at capacity, and
adding an additional person would be unwise, for space/logistical
reasons if nothing else.

However, whether or not all of these people are actually going to play
or not, at the same time, is rather less than concrete at this point.
I think that Tim, Raven, Dawn, and Lena are fairly solidly "in", and
then we have some interest but dubious/inconsistent availability from
Rich and Jimmy. Plus some murmurings of other people who may possibly
want to play.

If those folks I named above were all there, that'd be six players,
plus a DM (moi!). That's about as big a group as I think is
reasonable to deal with. But it's not looking, honestly, like an
extremely likely scenario that all six of those players will be
interested enough and/or available enough to actually be regular
players, all together at the same time. So if that's the case, I may
find that I only have four active players, and possibly a guest on
occasion. In that eventuality, then I wouldn't consider the group
full, and would in fact be happy to invite someone else to play (like
you!).

Best bet is to make up a character, post it here, and put your two
cents in when we start actually trying to nail down a specific date
and time to begin. The people who are all actually able to play when
the majority of us can, and who have done at least a bit of
preparation on their character concept, are really most likely to form
the core group for the game.

I'm the kind of guy who really hates to turn anyone away, but at the
same time, I really can't have eight or nine players at the table,
either. So in other words, no, the game isn't technically "full", but
it isn't guaranteed to be "open" either. If you decide to look for
another group elsewhere, I totally understand that. If you'd like to
post some character ideas here and hope for the best, that would be
great, too.

Thanks!

Update on my roommate:
She has decided to not join us. So it will be just me.
I am looking forward to sitting down at the table again and pulling
out the ole' Crown Royal bag of dice again!
Yea I know that REALLY dates me now... but what can I say. But your
right I am an "IN" for sure.
Just wanted to set the record straight from my neck of the woods.
Would hate to see someone turned aside because of crossed wires.

Now for something really scary. There is enough dice in that bag that
it can stand up on it's own!
I kid you not. And that is not including my 2 giant D6's that are in
storage. AKA DM attention getters!

So were you still looking for another player?

I too just moved to Denver and have been trying to find a regular
game. No real 4E experience buts lots of 1&2 ed experience, plus a ton
of other games.

I'm free most weekends and Monday nights.

Hi Chad,

Thanks for your interest!

I'm not sure if we're going to have room for any more new people, or
not. It's looking fairly unlikely at this point, as the number of
interested players has grown pretty large. But whether or not all of
those people will actually be available on a regular basis, at the
same time(s) remains to be seen.

I'll let you know if we've got extra space, though. Feel free to
watch this site or even jump into the discussions at your leisure.
