Goodness God!!! Thank you Mr. Deo for the clarification.

 

I recollect very clearly that I wrote the person ( Ajay Goyal ) was senior to me and his family owned the Goyal Photo studios. I had no other Ajay Goyal in mind. I also recollect IV saying that he knows that family and the individual and had endorsed my recommendation. After that, we all assumed that this is the same Ajay Goyal we all are talking about!!!! I could not believe that the Ajay Goyal I know would ever do what this other Ajay Goyal ( President ) has been doing, not responding to any of our questions. All my life, I have taken a certain pride about my judgement of people and was really beginning to wonder about what kind of a recommendation was this. I am thankful to Ajay Negi to have sent that email to me and right away, when I looked at the pass out year, I figured something was wrong.

 

Now Sanjay Sharma is senior to this gentleman ( batch 1979)  Ajay Goyal  (batch 1981) and I know Sanjay has a charming style of being respectful to all seniors and juniors and when he kept addressing Ajay Goyalji, I assumed it was the same Ajay Goyal of Goyal Photo or Art Studios located on Chakrata Road!!!!!

 

Josephites!!! I have no clue and no knowledge of the Ajay Goyal who has been nominated as the President of the Alumni Association. I would not like to say anything as I assume all Josephites are just wonderful people no matter if they are senior of junior.

 

I do have a concern here. I would like to take back my nomination of this individual as I have no idea or knowledge of him. I am sure that some of you have been duped ( unintentionally) too because of my extremely strong recommendation of this person who actually is NOT the person I had endorsed. I hold myself fully responsible to the extent of my endorsement. What is the rule to withdraw my nomination of this person? Do you feel that it is fair even though I do not know him that he should be retained as my choice? I am ready for you brickbats and your sympathy or your ideas, suggestions or comments.  Let it come. I feel that the President of the Alumni Association has to be a person who is known to have some contact with the global fraternity rather than just the ones in Doon. Someone who has the respect and the capability to write and communicate with the community rather that sit back and watch and let it all turn to chaos!!! Someone who displays leadership. Also- we strongly feel that the President ship should go to the senior years – 50’s or the 60’s !!!!

 

Please send your comments – If you think I am out of line, please let me know. If you feel I am right, please do let me know that too.

 

IV, Mr. Deo, Cmdr Sharan – kindly speak up. Please advise who the out-of-dun nominees are : I know – 1 Cmdr Sharan Ahuja 2. Indra Vikram Singh  3. ?  4. ?

Thnx Bharat. Now which one is the real Ajay Goyal who is the nominated President of the Alumni assoc. EC ? Can some one who knows this please clarify? My recommendations for president was Ajay Goyal of the Goyal Studios. IV and my exchange of emails were based on that Ajay Goyal. This is now taking an interesting turn. Sanjay's repeatedly addressing Ajay goyalji led me to believe that he too was referring to the same gentleman. I know Sanjay treats all with a certain deference but all the while I have been picturing a certain different Ajay Goyal !!!!!

Hi Vinod

 

I know where you are coming from. Early on, you did raise some pertinent questions about nominating a professional like Mr. Rathke as the President. I would suggest that you speak to Ajay Goyal before demanding that he step down. Any conclusions should be made after speaking to him and other committee members.  None of us, including me have taken the time to speak to any one of the nominees or understanding the capabilities of this team. 

 

If  Ajay Goyal steps down what are the alternatives? What is Plan B? .

 

I would suggest an alternative approach. Let us come up with ideas and initiatives that we think should be on the plate of the Executive Committee and the Alumni. Let us put them forward to Mr. Deo, Ambuj, IV and Cdr. Sharan. Let them incorporate these in the Charter and then take it forward.

2. I've had the pleasure of knowing Ajay bhaiya very closely for almost 8-9 years and have zero doubts on his integrity, commitment and dedication. He has always been like an elder brother to me and helped me several times by really going out of his way.
3. Anyone who interacts even for a few min with Ajay Goyal will endorse my views on him and more.


Understandably, not everyone has the same level of being e-mail friendly as the others, but that doesn't stop them from doing their work or question their commitment level.s
In my POV, it's too soon to really comment and take drastic steps such of pulling out nominations etc.

Dear All

It doesnt makes any difference to me either Ajay Goyal is from Goyal studios or Kwality hardware or any XYZ, till the time he  takes the Alumini in rite direction, have leadership qualities, can take part in group discussions, can clear the doubts, can come out with the agendas, suggestions, future planning, budgeting, projects, transperency, openness & of course who believes in team work.

If a brief about them(EC) with there picture, wld have been posted on time this situation wouldnt have errupted.

Now we cannot revert it back.

As the 3/4th majority in EC is from Doon, Ambuj, can u plz post abt there brief with pic. which u were supposed to do long time back!!!!! As its high time now, lets better give some face to the Alumini. or otherwise just shut & forget the case.
