Problem connecting with joscar

Hi there,

I'm trying to use joscar to write a very basic AIM client. I based my
initial attempt around the joscar code in JClaim.
Most of the time it works very well, but occasionally it doesn't
connect at all.
It seems to get stuck before logging in, printing out

over and over again, forever.

I was wondering if anyone knew why this happens and how I can prevent
it?
Is there a way to disable the RoomFinderService : I'm not sure I'll
actually need to find any rooms for this experiment?
Or is there a way to disconnect the client when it's in this state:
AimConnection.disconnect() doesn't seem to do it .

I'm using the pre1.0 version of the code from svn.
