Record + Post to Forum?

Hello,

I'm hoping to create a bot that will record chat discussion in an AIM
Blast group and auto-post that chat to a phpbb3 forum. I have a
little programming knowledge, but not very much honestly. I have zero
experience with Java, but I am willing to learn.

I am envisioning a setup where a registered bot user would send a
command to the bot to begin recording and then one to stop the
recording. Once the recording is stopped, the contents would be
posted to the forum.

Before I dig into this and start figuring out the details to make this
thing work, do you think it is possible for me to do this?
